Bridport Christian Fellowship
Bridport Christian Fellowship is a group of committed Christians of all ages with a desire to see the local community touched by the love of God. We believe in the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that in rising from the dead, Jesus opened the way to relationship with God to all those who believe in Him. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that God speaks to us today. We believe in the power of prayer to change lives - both physically (through prayer for healing) and spiritually (through prayer for salvation). We believe that when Jesus returned to His Father God, the Holy Spirit was given to all believers, through whom spiritual gifts have been given - such as prophecy, healing and speaking in other tongues. These gifts are vital to the work of the Holy Spirit and are actively used in church meetings and everyday life.
We meet regularly on Sunday mornings at 10.30 in an old school close to the centre of Bridport, Dorset, UK ( located in the East Street car park - see map) for worship, teaching, prayer and fellowship. Our church meetings are informal with an emphasis (at least for church members) on participation. Old or young, single or married, comfortable or struggling with life - you can always be certain of a warm welcome.
Bridport Christian Fellowship is a member church of the UK Evangelical Alliance (www.eauk.org/) and is linked to the Ichthus Christian Fellowship in London (www.ichthus.org.uk).
Bridport is a small rural town close to the coast in the South-West of England with its roots in the rope and net industry.
